Helping you help your patients
I offer a complimentary treatment session to any medical professional who would like to experience my services firsthand. Contact me to learn more.
You provide an invaluable service to help maintain or improve the health of your patients. But sometimes the treatments you’ve tried just aren’t working.
Often, this happens when a patient has non-specific chronic symptoms, such as stress, pain, anxiety, or depression, or when his or her lifestyle is hindering response to treatment. Such situations can be frustrating and disheartening for both you and your patients.
So how can I help?
I safely work with your existing treatment plan to foster patient health
Since acupuncture is generally safer than most conventional treatments, I’m able to work in conjunction with your patient’s current therapies and medications. By combining holistic modalities with conventional treatments, we can together offer the best possible health and wellbeing solutions for your patients.
Effective communication: bridging the gap between clinical and non-clinical healthcare
There is currently a significant knowledge gap between Western and Eastern medicine. It is my mission to help inform medical professionals about Chinese medicine and acupuncture from a biomedical perspective, based on evidence-based research. In other words, I make it a priority to explain the benefits of acupuncture and how it works in a way that makes sense to you.
I monitor your patients’ lifestyle habits to enhance treatment results
How patients treat themselves outside of your office can have a substantial impact on your ability to meet their health and wellbeing goals. Perhaps you aren’t able to monitor all your patients’ lifestyle habits as closely as you’d like to. While acupuncture is the foundation of my practice, I also work with patients on an ongoing basis to ensure they are taking the necessary steps in their daily lives to achieve faster, more sustainable results.
I provide referrals to your practice
My educational background in Western and Eastern medicine allows me to recognize conditions beyond the purview of acupuncture and Eastern complementary therapies. Therefore, you can rest assured that the patients I send to you are appropriate referrals.
I help you meet the increasing demand for holistic healthcare
The Administration on Aging reports there are 44.7 million people, or 1 in every 7 Americans, 65 years and older as of 2014. It is estimated that this number will more than double by 2060.
The Baby Boomers are the first generation to age who have widely embraced and used complementary and integrative health (CIH) as part of their healthcare.
As evidence-based research on the effectiveness of CIH practices for age-related health problems grows, trends show an increase in CIH use among older adults. Thus, acupuncturists and other CIH providers are increasingly in demand. I can help you meet that demand.
Is acupuncture safe for your patients?
When done properly, acupuncture entails almost no risk; this applies particularly to the gentle non-insertive style in which I specialize. As a founder of the New England School of Acupuncture’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) for ethical clinical acupuncture trials, I am aware of safety protocols and am careful to adhere to them.
