Non-Insertive Acupuncture

Subtle yet Powerful

Touching the acupuncture points without penetrating the skin is referred to as non-insertive acupuncture. It can be as effective in rebalancing the body as "needling" techniques.

A Gentle Approach

  • Appropriate for children and older patients
  • Suitable for patients who are weakened by chronic conditions
  • A wonderful option for those uncomfortable with needles

Two Methods

I am part of a select group of American acupuncturists who offer Japanese non-insertive techniques.

Shakuju Therapy
Shaku means deep and ju means superficial. This method rebalances the body by working with two energy imbalances — the superficial and the deep.

Toyo Hari is an elegant and soothing style of treatment that was developed by blind acupuncturists.
